Zion National Park

What a beautiful place! I was excited to visit as I'd heard so much about it!

Jack enjoyed posing beside the water on our walk back to the Narrows in Zion National Park. This was a special place for Jesse to take us to as his family has been here a number of times and he has great memories of camping with his Dad here as a youth!

Sitting down by the side of the river before lunch

Jack is never to one to leave sticks by the side of the trail (so if you go walking with us expect him to pick up each and every stick and use it as a gun!

I love this picture as it reminds me of the family campout at Clearwater Community when Jack (Pastor Jack, not ours ;-P ) had us put together a monument of rememberance just like Joshua did at the Jordan River:

4) So Joshua called together the twelve men he had appointed from the Isrealites, one from each tribe,
5) and said to them, "Go over before the ark of the LORD your God into the middle of the Jordan. Each of you is to take up a stone on his shoulder, according the the number of the tribes of the Isrealites,
6) to serve as a sign among you. In the future, when your children ask you, 'what do these stones mean?'
7) tell them that the flow of the Jordan was cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD. When it crossed the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. These stones are to be a memorial to the people of Israel forever."
Joshua 4:4-7

We really miss the solid teaching and faithful preaching of our church in Clearwater but how peaceful it is to know that we are exactly where God wants us to be!
